The Vision of Ulysses Davis, 2019, Documentary Short Film

One of the foremost artists of the American South, Ulysses Davis constructed an idiom distinctly his own. His rich symbolic imagination and diverse body of work speak vividly to the nature of his experience as an African-American artist and barber. This film is an offering to the legacy of this singular man and is part of the permanent collection of the Beach Institute African-American Cultural Center in Savannah, GA.
